Brief Summary:
Jamborette is an annual Region event. The Scouts choose the theme for the next year and in 2018, the Scouts selected a Zombie Apocolypse for 2019. To get into the spirit, we ask all participants to assist by designing their Gateway in the theme and having a Zombie menu and food for the Long Dinner and of course, dress up in Zombie costume. This event is full of great activities both on site and off site Get your Troop patrols and start planning for this Zombie Apocolypse experience! We encourage Venturers, Rovers, Leaders and Parent Helpers to come along and get into the spirit of this event. It’s all about creating a fantastic experience for our Scout,s and the Cubs and Joeys who will visit on Sunday 6 October. Register now!

Additional Information

This is a Region Scouting activity themed as The Zombie Apocolypse. Please participate in the theme by including the following in your Troop planning and packing:

  • Zombie costumes
  • Zombie troop menu and food for Long Dinner 
  • Zombie themed Gateway for your Troop

Prizes are awarded at closing parade.

Your troop will provide you with the basic scout camp list for each troop member to bring to this activity, including all essential personal gear, clothing and equipment.

Troop catering is handled on site but NO OPEN FIRES are permitted.

Troop set up and layout is determined on a Troop by Troop basis. The ground is flat and grassy. A Troop campsite location will be advised after applications have closed and a site map will be provided.

Each Troop member will be part of a patrol while on and off site . Each Scout will participate in the patrol system throughout the event. During the event, the Scouts will be participating in off site activities which will be monitored but not under direct Leader supervision.

Travel in uniform and wear casual clothes on and off site which will require a braod brimmed hat and a shirt with sleeves and a collar. Uniform will be worn for Opening & Closing Parade.

At all times, participants will follow the Scout Promise and Law.
